I've shot my first hundredish photos, developed a full campaign for Toyota, designed two posters for Chuys 22nd annual chili festival, and been busy concepting for a piece of work I'm doing at my internship.
Today I got my second poster design project and its....(get excited) a series of posters for
SXSW!! woop woop.
Im soooo EXCITED! Not only is Austin one of the most creative cities in the nation but sxsw is one of the most innovative and forward thinking interactive events EVER and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.
Flatstock will also be going on a few days where a ton of fantastic screenprinters from all over the nation will display all their MAGNIFICO work, which I know will be an absolute sensation.
Writing about it just gets me excited, I cant wait till its actually here.
This year I will be attending not only as a fan, a student, and an intern BUT a DESIGNER!
Yay.
Passion is contagious and Im ready to catch it!
Ah till we talk again.
La Vie Est Belle.

Image of the day:
My first appropriation image created with old color negatives, lace scrapbooking paper and raw catalog images.
I focused on the lighting, texture, and tonality of each raw source to create a montage that wouldnt feel cut and placed together but would rather function as one single piece.
